Had another 7 plus cresteds hatch this week...I'm getting excited now as it means my chahoua are due to hatch soon (they were laid the same week as the cresteds that just hatched ). _________________

Geat news Scott. Will be nice to see some of those on the forum. Are you expecting a few? _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

I only have 1 pair of chahoua, but they have laid about 5 clutches, unfortunately only 1 pair of eggs were laid in a good place that I found in time (they are reluctant to lay in the nest box unlike the gargoyles and cresteds ) _________________

That`s a shame. Have they been dropping the eggs on the floor or burying them elsewhere? _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

laying directly on the newspaper, normally near the heat pad too
perhaps next year we will add two boxes, give them a better choice of sites to lay. _________________

good look with the eggs mate, i think they will take longer to hatch than crested eggs, my gargoyles all hatched about 10-15 days after the crested eggs would off hatched.
Will be great to see the chahoua babies _________________ Play Hard |
