The AES show at kempton Park:

Luckily enough I had a mooch around before the main doors were open to everyone. Thanks for the Pass M.

Well laid out and lots of tables over two floors. Some excellent and interesting items at the show from scientific entomological equipment to cockroaches! Extremely interesting and educational.

I am not really into insects stuck on pins and mounted on boards (sorry), but there were some superb displays of beetles, moths and butterflies. Lots of larvae, caterpillars and all manner of grubs and chrysalis were available to! Some that caught my eye were like green glass, sorry cant remember their correct name now. Saw some Rhino beetles, would not want to find them in my sock, or elsewhere! I was tempted by some flower mantids, and was also tempted by almost everything I saw but restrained myself and just got; x2 species of pill millipede, 2.2. jungle nymphs, some P.Nivea roaches and a blinding deal on Peter Necas; Chameleons Natures Hidden Hidden Jewels, hardback still wrapped up brand new lots of them there £15! Fromm Cornish Crispa.

By about 11.30am the place was heaving, seriously crowded, just goes to show how popular insects are!

Saw Shaz from the forum, who had to dash off and never saw her again!

Well done to the organisers for a great and highly interesting show!

I would recomend going to the show even if your not a bug person, it's an eyeopener and worth the visit, highly educational. Get there early as it was heaving by mid-day.
