every book ive read has said mexican red knees are the most gentle T going, but mine are little monsters throwing hairs at every chance they get
im starting to think the whole placid thing is a myth, can anyone prove me wrong?

IME, B.smithi are a VERY nervous species, Pelting you with urticants at the slightest provocation. Some even going straight into a threat posture and and striking at everything in sight, For example, my huge adult female:



That said, there are a number of very docile individuals that will tolerate handling and excess provocation etc.

Mines not too bad!
But if i startle it or move something in its house it will aim a flick.
