Hello there!
I have a reeves turtle named Mr. Hippity Skippity. He is a pretty awesome dude let me tell you. I am worried about an appearance of algae or fungus on his skin when he is viewed in the water. It looks like hair.. and is fuzzy around his neck like a halo and on his feet(less than head). He is eating well, and very active. Anyone else ever encounter this? He does not have any algae on his shell.

oh god, not sure what it is but please take him to the vet asap, it doesnt sound good so if you cna treat him now then better for him.

If it is a skin fungus I'm guessing that it will be quite treatable with a copper based fungicide - but you will need to take it to a vet who knows what he/she is doing.
