Sorry about this but just had to tell you all about our new arrival (thanks to Scott) meet 'Nick' named Nick because he's very quick lol our friend for our female. Can anyone advise me on how long to quarantine him, and any other tips? Many thanks, John |

He's gorgeous!!!
I quarantine for three months minimum - depends on the source and the purpose then afterwards as to how long I extend that for if I do. |

I would quarantine him for at least three months, as Kate stated. However, I would wait until next year before you put him in with a female. The breeding season is more or less over now for this year.
He's a stunner BTW. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie

I would wait until the weather warms up a bit next year. I put mine together around February/March time. Basically when the days start getting longer and brighter.

Thanks for that Jackie, as said think I'll put him in a bigger viv, he's not eating at the mo ( but it is his first day) he may need time to settle. |

Give him a couple of days to find his feet and I'm sure he'll be eating you out of house and home...lol. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie

as Jackie said, give him a few days to settle, try not to handle him until you are happy with his feeding. Also keep an eye on temps so that he doesn't get too hot, make sure he has plenty of hiding places too.
Food, he was eating CGD mixed with a tiny amount of Banana & Peach and also house crickets. _________________
