Hi Wendy,
There's a big spread between the weights of them all, basically as the ball collection grew so quick I had trouble with breeding enough rodents. I do have some pythons still under 200g, lowest even being 135g (this started at 35g!).
The biggest are now on weaner rats, and weigh 650g (before feeding), food has now been cut down to weekly on the bigger ones.
As for worries of 'pin heads' etc, there are no signs of stunted or slow growing heads, infact the heads on these bigger ones are bigger than that of my 2005 animals.
Unfortunately due to the large number of Cf 06's that I'm working with I have had to drop any feeding experiments regarding Rats vs Mice etc _________________

You got great results all the same, mine have varied growth rates but very best hit 1,000 grams at a year, she never stopped eating and was on rats, but her two siblings were much smaller, and I have to say mine never got the pin head look either they just grew at the same rate body and head.. I just believe in feeding royals when they eat, what ever they want to eat... and wait for the rainy day when they turn their nose up for months at a time.. thanks for getting back to me though, you certainly picked some stunners as examples... |

I'm the same as you Wendy, let them decide when they do and don't want to feed. I will stop feeding if they appear to be putting on fat rather than size.
I heard of a male producing fertile eggs at 3 1/2 months old!!!!
Not too sure what the youngest / smallest females that have been bred. _________________

Don't ya just hate that? My '05 Ringer Pastel outweighs my '04 Graziani... (everyone has to have at least one picky eater, I guess). On the up-side, both should be ready this year for my big girls... _________________ All the Best- Deb
