a low wattage / red / blue bulb will not affect them at all, just watch out that there is not too much heat generated from it.

Hi Negri
I have a 40watt Red bulb inside my Cresteds tank; it helps to keep the temperature up as my house can sometime be cold (must get a new boiler lol). She seems to be very happy, and yes it’s great to sit and watch her hunt. Very Happy

John
