I got him on August 20 from a friend who did not want him. He is one of my favorite pets. I plan to get another one soon and next year I am going to build him an outdoor pen. Alot of people think tortoises are boring and slow but this guy burrows and love to be outdoors.

He looks a lovely tortoise, I love horsfields they are such characters, they love climbing and getting into scrapes!!
Just watch his beak its getting a bit too long, try filing it down with an emery board and putting his food on slate to keep it trim, I had the same problem!!

Russians are little characters, I agree not boring at all, and they can shift too when they want to. The only thing I find with the Russians is they love to dig hence why I keep mine in this enclosure

It used to be a raised pond, I'd like to see the little devils dig out of this Laughing
