I have just managed to find myself a lovely pair of gargoyle geckos, and was just wondering what peoples feeding routine is.

They eat crix and the gargoyle gecko diet.
What ratio of live foods to diet do you feed, ie 5 days Gargoyle diet, 2 days crix ????

I am just not sure how much live food to feed them.

PS they also love baby food

Thanks Mandy Very Happy

It depends how old they are. I feed my adults, crickets once/twice a week. The crickets are dusted with calcium carbonate and Nutrobal (multi-vitamin). They also get waxmoths every now and again. I feed hatchling Gargoyles crickets two or three times a week so they get their food dusted that many times.

I feed mine fruit pulp (or babyfood) once/twice a week. This is dusted with calcium carbonate. I give mine roughly a teaspoon each of the fruit in a bowl. When I have hatchlings/youngsters I give them theirs in the lid of a milk carton (they will eat about a third of a teaspoon). Flavours like apple, banana, peach, pear, apricot are favourites with my adults. They also love fresh figs. Most fruits are ok for Gargoyles except citrus fruit. Before I made my own fruit pulp I used Heinz organic mixed fruits babyfood.

So basically I feed my adult aurics every other day (if they are on a twice weekly cricket feed they only get fruit once and vice versa) and then they have a fast period. For example: day 1 - fruit, day 2 - nothing, day 3 - fruit, day 4 - nothing, day 5 - crickets, day 6 - nothing, day 7 - nothing, day 8 - nothing, then it will be a crickets week. Babies/youngsters are fed the same way except they don't have a fasting period (in other words I feed them every other day).

Hope that helps....Very Happy

No problem. One thing I have noticed with mine is that males seem to be a lot greedier than females. This male only gets fed once a week (sometimes twice if I have any left over):

I haven't weighed him recently but as you can see he's a chunky thing.

that male is nice, weigh him sometime to see what he is weighing in, my male weighs in a 60g and one of my females weighs in a 67g, they are both massive though. The rest of my aurics are more of a normal size.

Wahooo!!! I've converted another person... Laughing

I've just weighed him and he's 69grams (it was flashing between the 69 and 70 g mark). He's not fat, he's just big boned.....lol.

Thats big!! Mine is massive so i can only imagine how big yours is. I am keeping back the babies that my massive male and female produce to see if the size gets carried through in the genes (plus they are both amazing colours)
