I would like to post an ad in the classifieds and haven't done so before so just a couple questions.

I would like to include 3 pics in the ad, I have 3 similar items for sale, where it says image url, can I just link to the one? or when I type the ad and use the hotlink codes, will that work?

Also where it says password, is that the same one as on here?

Hi Peaches,

The classifieds are easy and simple to use, you can place a plain advert in seconds and don't need to be a member of this forum, the PASSWORD box is so that you can edit your advert if sold or if you wish to change it and you can choose ANY password you wish.

You can create a basic advert by just filling in the boxes on the screen, adding an address for photo in the correct box (Image Url) (all photos must be hosted elsewhere though).

You can also add a larger photo direct in the main advert, do this by typing

<image src="http://www.the_web_URL_of_the_photo">

So you would type into the Ad Content box something like

Royal Python for sale, albino, 6 months old. Feeding on defrost. £50 - Collection only from devon area.
<image src="http://www.captivebred.co.uk/images/0002_albino_ball_python_600.jpg">

Once you have the hang of posting images you can then use BOLD text wherever you wish, just type , add the words you want bold in between the > HERE <. For italics just change the B to an I.

I've tried 4 times now trying to add pics, I've put the add up but left pics off - aah well, I will work it out at some point Shocked

I use image shack for hosting and obviously not using the right code Confused
