I quite like the rosellas, bit more meat on them.

Not keen on finches etc and the big birds ie greenwings and other large macaws dont get on with me so something inbetween like a rosella fits right into what i like. There is a purple and red one i quite like (yup thats about as technical as i can get) but never found a hand reared one so we didnt get one Crying or Very sad

Both the Bourke's and Rosella's look fantastic, have done some reading on them. Would anyone have a breeder/bird centre to recommend? I've heard very good things about the parrot breeding facility in Leceister(?) but the name escapes me. Anyway thanks guys Cool

[quote="Kat"]I'll agree with you to a degree Peter in that a hand reared bird will need more intimate interaction, but i think a lone parent reared bird needs people to be around as much or they get bored and lonely.

I 100% agree with you Kat. What I should have said (thought I had in my first post) was that parent reared birds in my opinion should be kept in pairs. I would never keep a parent reared bird alone, just seems so pointless.

Hand reared bird`s as you know are a totally different kettle of fish. They are convinced that they are human, and crave and need almost constant attention from their human "partner". My African grey is on my shoulder as I type. Wink

Have decided I really like the look of the Rosella's, read a fair bit up on them...anyone recommend any good breeders/shops I could contact?
