Just thought i'd post some more of them getting bigger before Rick was on my case again.

We've just raised the water level abit more than it's been at so they've been kinda floating about today.

Maybe nags not the right word, hound me down might be a bit better.

We've seperated 2 into a small tank. They're were the smallest ones when we got them and seem to be growing at a slower than the rest.

The bigger ones were catching all the bugs before they got a chance. So we put them in another tank to make sure they were eating too.

Not sure whether we should have done it or not but they're doing better IMO.

I did the same with mine as the smallest four weren`t getting their fair share of food. Plus they were on smaller food items than the main group so it all made sense.

Mine are catching up already so it won`t be too long before they can join the main group. Smile

Aww well thats ok then.

Our are on different bugs too now.

Although the little ones are growing really fast so are some of the others and we have some big babies. I'm happy with two tanks just now so it's not a problem at the moment.

How many do you have?

I brought twelve home with me from Rick`s. They are for my other half`s 14 yr old boy. I am keeping them until past the delicate stage though.

Four are a good deal smaller and are on D. melanoghaster fruit flies and pin head crickets and spring tails. They are growing and have nice fat bellies.

The main group are on the larger D. Hydei fruit flies, small crickets, and hatchling locusts. Also growing just as fast as you said so I will keep the two groups seperate until they all average out about the same. I think yours are from an earlier bunch as they look larger than mine. Wink

Yeah Vicki had toadlets from an earlier batch and you Pete had toadlets from a later batch.

Yes a good idea to split into same size groups as ensures they all get a share of the food otherwise the largest will dominate at feeding time. Glad there all doing well folks.

You calling me a hound Vicki Laughing
