I think Dennis is still young enough and if you get a pup Akita (10-12 weeks) and try to avois the Alpha female of the litter you should be fine. In all honesty though as Akitas are hopeless off a lead as well I think the Neo would be the better choice, of course there'll always be exceptions. When we got Roxy (who was Alpha female - big time!) we took Buster along (he was about Dennis's age at that time) just to check they would do the big brother/little sis bonding thing before we made a decision. By the time we drove back from North Yorkshire they we best buds and Roxy has follwed his every pawprint since then (but she thinks she's the boss Wink )
Good luck, and whatever you get hope they make a life long comapnion for Dennis and stay in good health. Razz

He's terrific, super looking coat - such beautiful wrinkles!
Love watching that rolling gait - so graceful for such a big dog.
Bet he does some good dribbles Laughing

Loving the choice of lipstick photo Pete Laughing

For me if the dog is likely to need intervention (ie surgery or help copulating) then it shouldn't be continued as a breed. Desperately trying not to open a can of worms here but it fits well within the realms of descented skunks and venemoids - IMO.

for the reasons Dan stated, not a fan of british bulldogs, poor little buggers can hardly breathe or run. Not much of a fan of all the wrinkles either, prone to skin issues. Mind you, basil isn't a very healthy shape....

cheers Stu, Nige the owner is a top guy, he moved to the US and took his old Neo with him and he died the day he arrived with gout! He is good friends with one of the worlds top breeders and they sorted him out this one (no idea how much or if free) and he is rated def top 5 all time list of Neo's! his parents I believe are also top 5 each!

this is the Sire

this is the dame

there is both italian and hungarian champions in the pedigree as well!
