So i am writing my dissertation at the moment and it is due in on the 10th of August. I am obscenely bad at losing things, I can't own sunglasses or anything like that because they are gone within 2 days. Anyways, yesterday after a long day at the keyboard in the library i packed up my stuff and went home, and laid in bed ready to go to sleep i realise I had left my damn USB drive in the computer. I'm not totally stupid, and had managed to save the main body of the report on the server at Uni, but all my data manipulation tables, stats, Scanning Electron Microscope photos and reference list have now gone Crying or Very sad

have to hope someone will hand the damn thing in, as I'm getting quite strapped for time, but chances aren't great because its a bloody good 1gb jobby which my brother got me for christmas.

feels good to have a whinge about it.

In 10 days it will all be over!! (apart from presentations and viva Shocked ) and i will hopefully have my M.Sc.!!!!

Well that really sucks. With so many things on your mind it's not a surprise that you would forget one thing or another. Anyway I hope someone will be honest enough to return it.

Also, congrats and way to go, all that hard work is about to pay off!
What is your degree in?

micropalaeontology.... Tiny tiny old dead stuff. I'm going to sell my soul to the oil industry i'm afraid Embarassed . Wasn't the origional plan but it is where I have ended up. Rather prefer living larger things but lacked the old Chemistry A-level to do any decent courses. They still made me do the equivalent at uni to do my undergrad though!!! OBSCENE! micropaleowhat? No just kidding. LOL

It may not be your ideal job but I'm sure that it can provide a comfortable living. Perhaps with the money you make you can get into something that really piques your interest, even as a hobby or a second job (if you can make the time)

Like I said, congrats. You should be very proud of your accomplishment, it speaks volumes about the kind of person you are and your intelligence.

Cool
