Below is a picture of a simple set up for baby tortoise no matter if they are tropical or med.
Tub: a simple under bed storage tub from B&Q £7.50
Substrate : 50/50 mix of play sand and top soil. for tropical tortoises spray they substrate with water to reach humidity of 70-80% for med tortoises give a good spray of water each night.
Plants: pansies and plastic plants
Hides: bits of bark and plastic pots cut in half
Lighting: you have a choice either:
1. strip uvb 8.0 or 10.0 Change every 6 months and a simple 60w -100w spot bulb (temp under the lamp must be 30- 32 c)
2. trex all in one bulb (heat and UVB in one) (temp must be 30-32c)
Simple bottom of a indoor rabbit cage
