my daughter brought us a cactus plant from arizona now we have a 1.5"long baby lizard we dont know how to care for this guy but putting him out doors in upstate new york probably isnt an option nor is giving him to our local petco.any help for this guy? |

Firstly, can you put him in some sort of enclosure, and old fish tank, plastic box with air holes etc.
Give him a light spray/splash so he can rehydrate himself, not to much though (coming from Arizona).
Set up the container with a lamp at one end shining down if you have one, (desk lamp) so the surface is warmer (only at one end, so he can choose his temperature).
Furnish it with paper towel on the bottom, a few twigs, some leaves and a hide (plastic cup with hole in, upside down plant sucer with entry hole, anything).
If he climbs a lot, put in more twigs.
Perhaps get some small crickets from a petshop, assuming (most likely) that he eats insects.

Well Hello there!
Upstate New York, we are almost neighbors. I'm from NH.
So did you call your new lizard Arizona? Sounds like you are getting attached to him already.
I don't know anything about lizard. I own turtles but MEMEME and many others here knows their stuff. Your in the right place.
