I'd also recommend the reptile classifieds link above, buying a captive bred youngster from someone thats bred them will probably bring along more knowledge from the breeder then many pet shops!! The main thing to look for in young water dragons is bashed noses, make sure they have a nice clean mouth and nose with no bumps or abrasions.
Apart from the usual stuff of alertness, no saggy skin to show its been eating, clear eyes, etc. Also, if you have a choice take the biggest and strongest, as if its your first lizard a good size lad or lass will suit you best!!
Best of luck and make sure you put some pictures up of it. If you want to put up any photos up of your vivarium set up, I'm sure a couple of us wouldn't mind giving some comments. Again best of luck  |
