whats good to use to put a seal on the tank, i want to seal the edges to prevent water getting out and also i want to put some kind of surface on the sides and back etc to prevent damage to the wood from spraying
anyone got any ideas |

for sealing Viv's i use clear silicone sealant and leave the Viv for 24 hours to let it dry and fumes to dis purse |

You have to be carefull with silicone as the ones with fungicide in are toxic to reptiles (although i am yet to see proof). The easiest way to do it is use aquarium sealant.
As for the coat over the rest of the viv, yacht varnish does the job nicely.
You will need to apply heat to the viv while airing as it will smell once you heat it, no matter if you air it before or not. _________________ TFA

Personally i make a small glass tray for the bottom all silicone in then on something like my mangrove cage i simply have the glass higher up the walls, i use a thin layer well up to 4" of hortag as a drainage medium for heavily sprayed species with substrate on top.
