depends on what your after mate ? if its cheap and cheer full plywood it does the job and don't look to bad when its stained . if you want something better use melamine chip board it comes in all different colours |

i use 12mm ply and for staining i use a water resistant type so that your wood don't fall to bits when you are spraying or when water is spilt |
