little update on the baroni eggs for you all,

they have now been in incubation for 17 days and are still looking very good, all nice and plump Laughing

Good to hear that Karl.

Both of my females have laid now as well. Looks like a good year for P. baroni!!

When they hatch, some will almost certainly need tease feeding. A few, if your lucky, will feed from day 1, 1 or 2 may be really tricky(as far as I'm concerned). Getting a strike from the "tricky" ones, while tease feeding will be very difficult. Assist feeding may work, the curved nose is great for assist feeding, but may need a few attempts( I usually give up around 20 in a row!). I have managed to get every one feeding, I am not renowned for patience, so they are not too tricky.

Let's hope one of us gets a blue one!!

thanks for the advise, tell me do they start out blue or do they develope that colour with age, or is it somethink i will see for the off??

The blue can either be present from hatching or slowly develop.

I have seen pictures of "blue" straight from the egg but the colour developed with my blue male. I initially had a trio, all were typical green animals when I got them but were distinctly different within a few months, none retaining the juvenile colouration. In contrast animals I have acquired since, have retained the juvenile colour/pattern.

day 38, 1 egg has gone off, so i cut it open and their was a half developed dead baby in it Crying or Very sad

but the other 6 are doing very well indeed, but to be hounets even know the 7th egg was fertile it never had as stroger veins as the other 6,

but never mind heres hoping for 6 lol Laughing
