there is a theory that its incorect humidity in parts of the incubation, causeing the eggs to not have enough or to much humidity to much being the belief of most who follow this line of thought but really its not known there could be a multitude of reasons

Good luck with the rest bud

mate sorry to hear that, how close were they to hatching!?!?! Did they break through, or slit the egg, is there an egg tooth on them, if not did they drown in the egg, due to this??

sorry just curious!

I would say that they should of hatched a week perhaps earlier, it's hard to say, I know of some that hatch at 100 days others much later, these were at 180 days!

Could of been the low temps, too much water, not enough water but personally I think the eggs were doomed the moment they were laid. I tend to think that good eggs hatch bad eggs don't, they just die off at various stages of incubation.

I think I'll increase calcium supplements for the adults and do everything else the same for the next batch.

These particular babies were Dead in Shell, I had cut a bad egg open weeks ago and it had a partially formed baby inside (still alive), so I thought the eggs just needed more time. I then had an egg start leaking fluid a few weeks back but decided to leave that to 'nature'. This egg finally started to look real bad so I cut it open last week, again there was a live baby inside very weak looking with a curved snout. this lead me to leave the last two eggs to see what would happen. I only cut them open as they had sunk in a lot and I could not feel any movement inside.
