Stopped using any of the major chains a while ago now and haven't looked back. Buy local produce where-ever possible and shop local too.

I do not condone in any way the action of Tescos or any other stores that act in this way.

The sad truth is even if you steer clear of commercial sector industries that blatantly create such abusive environments. You will be hard pushed not to support some form of environmental or human abuse, in some shape or another.

Which bank do you use, which credit card do you use, have you got sky, have you checked out where your money ends up, do you buy petrol ./ diesel etc.

Sadly you will find most of the large multi-national companies etc invest their money in unethical investments. Joe blogg's quid when spent inadvertantly supports this perpetuation.

Sad but true. None of us support this rabid profit making situation at any cost, but unknowingly we do.

I don't have the answers, I wish I did. I think the best thing we can do is become aware through such threads as this , where it is safe to spend our money, again sadly, you may well be surprised to find very few opportunities to spend yer dosh in a totally environmentally or humane supportive manner.

to be honest Rick, I don't shop in Tescos as they are too big....£1 in every £8 pound spent in UK retail is spent at Tescos...this is NOT a good thing.

The fact that they have expanded in many other countries and now even sell live animals for food use just shows how greedy they are...why are they not content on being the UK's biggest retail giant instead of trying to dominate the whole planet at ANY cost.

Mad I have just sent an email to my local Tesco explaining why I wont be shopping there again- a bit of a joke really as I only go once a month and thats to buy dog foods in bulk. However. I feel I have registered MY protest vote and you never know who else did exactly the same after reading this. Thanks for posting it,
love Jan
