I set some of these guys up in a pond, should get eggs from them soon.

well the ponds now totally dried up, did see hundreds of baby newts in there a month or so ago, just hoping they all come back in the spring like I was told (don't fancy searching a 3 acre field for them!) |

Hi Scott, Is the pond not enclosed? You do realise that Alpine Newts are not a native species and should not be put into an open pond. _________________ Andrew Tillson-Willis

Hi Andrew,
lol......yep, don't panic. The surrounding area is enclosed nicely (maybe 3 acres was a slight exageration ) but it's still too densely vegatated for me see them in amongst the plants. |
