Ah, fun snakes then Did you try to breed them yet? _________________ Please visit Ron's Reptiles to see my collection

And he's too young? That's the sort of thing I'd do as well. If I had either snake I'll take the smallest het babies you get from that pairing _________________ Please visit Ron's Reptiles to see my collection

Should be visual hypo dwarfs from that pairing Ron as the hypo genetics appear to be dominant or co dominant.
My 3 Year old cb in the Uk dwarfs are as tame as puppies. They didn't believe me at work either so I had to bring one in.
When cleaning they are draped around my neck and mooch around inside my shirt... |

Yes Peter, I know its (co)dom, I just meant I want the smallest hypo's
A mutual friend (Geoff) told me about your tame ones. Sounds like the kind of dwarfs I want In fact its the first time I heard they can be really tame You haven't produced any hypo dwarfs yet? _________________ Please visit Ron's Reptiles to see my collection

No, but may do towards the end of the Year.
I agree about the small ones being in demand.
I am convinced the way to do this is to breed the male morph into the dwarf female. The female snake is pre disposed to genetically produce smaller eggs and offspring condusive to her size.
Everyone breeds the dwarf, wether it be retic or burmese back to the normal size female. Result- big eggs, big babies and much bigger adults.
The reason for this is both the dwarf retics and burmese females are so difficult to get to reproduce.
I have 2.5 Year old het albino dwarf burms. The female was the dwarf and they weigh just over 1 kilo.
My male hypo may be mature enough to breed to my cb dwarf females this Year. I have twins from one clutch that are well over 3 Years old and these 2 females weigh less than 1 kilo each- they are tiny!
Attached is one of the twin females at 2.5 Years old. |
