Checked some eggs last night and found 4 little crestie heads poking out and one stunning pinstripe had hatched, I thought I'd leave the pin until this morning to give it time to recover from hatching.
Anyway I checked the egg box this morning and found 6 had hatched but 5 were missing their tails the tails were scattered in the egg box.
There was just one with it's tail still, quite obviously the guilty one
In over 5 years of breeding cresteds I've never had that happen _________________

?????
I've never seen anything like this, although my gecko breeding is on a much smaller scale. The 'evil one' has not eaten the tails though Scott - not if they were lying around? Do you think it just attacked the others?
I have seen liveborn skinks turn on one of their siblings, especially if it is 'not right'. One blue tongue this year was born without the use of its back legs and the others just tucked in. Gruesome!
Are you going to keep it in solitary confinement???

I have never encounted that before either Scott, was the pinner one that lost its tail too, or was it the bully. _________________ 20 years experience in reptile keeping.
