they feed perfectly. every royal is een hide and seek animal. when kept in tubs you don't see that but in a viv you do. got all my snakes in viv's and they are doing really well. got 2 other normal royal's ready to drop eggs and they have always been in viv's. keep them for the past 15 years and never had a tub. got 2 extremely big ones, 1 is 1.57cm and weigh's 3 kilo's and 1 that is 1.54 and 2.5 kilo's so yeah they feed more than ok _________________ 1.1 Hypo Salmon Boa (Gee Line)

very nice collection you have. Mojave looks amazing.
Those stripes are lovely things aren't they
What sort of substrate is that you're using, out of curiousity. Cant think if i've seen anyone use that before _________________ Who like's art?

i'm using cocopeat. you can buy it in gardensupply shops. at least over here you do. it's really great stuff to have royals on, coz it's not so dry as aspen or aubiose. if you are planning on buying it for your snakes make sure that you pick the one that has no fertilizer in it coz that will poison your snake. andcompared to aspen or aubiose it is really cheap and an added bonus is that during feeding it is no big deal if the snake get's some of it inside with the food, coz it will break down naturally _________________ 1.1 Hypo Salmon Boa (Gee Line)

Nice piccys and lovely snakes! I was going to ask what substrate too, I've been looking at something similar to that for my royal.
Do you moisten it before you put it in, or do you just use it straight from the bag? _________________ Anna
