|
|
My female spider ovulated a little while back and is almost ready to lay but for some reason I have a bad feeling about this clutch...I'm expecting it to be my first clutch of slugs.
Can't put my finger on why I have this hunch but within a week or so I'm know if I was right....any way fingers crossed. _________________

Not that it makes any odds now but let her GENTLY run over your fingers and if they still feel like follicle they are probably slugs. Eggs feel softer than follicles. Fingers crossed though mate.

Judging from the ovulation I don't think you need worry. Has she produced for you before? |

cheers Paul, normally I don't bother feeling for folicles etc but this year I have with most of my females and so far have been spot on. This girl had great folicles and a good ovulation and yes they did feel 'right' afterwards (same as all my other girls after ovulation) but something still doesn't seem right to me. I think it may just be her body condition, it's not tight and muscular, more spongey. I think that perhaps she just didn't get back into condition 100% after last years clutch. Although she has put on 4 grams per day since October last year.
I should find out within a week or so...fingers crossed. _________________
