Nice one Ailurus, as soon as I posted my last comment I just went and googled them (not thinking straight today).
Does anyone have any good information on them regarding sizes, and general up keep?
Thanks to those who replied already |

use google lol.
Hogg Island boas, as far as i know are kept exactly the same as any other boa constrictor, ecpet require less space as they are smaller. Females get to 6.5 foot max (usually about 6) and males get about 4 or 5.
however Hogg isles fecth quite high prices, so you could go for another dwarf boa constrictor, which are called Central American or El Salvador boas, they get to about 5 foot for females and 3 to 4 for males. They are kept the same way as any other boa constrictor.
Both would be fine in a 4x1.5x1.5 foot viv. you could probably go smaller with the el salvadors
Heres a link on their care http://www.kingsnake.com/boapage/caresheets/boaconstrictorcare.html
Brazilian Rainbow Boas can grow up to 6 feet in length and needs a living space of at least 4x1.5x1.5feet.
A substrate of sterilised orchid bark is a good choice for this species and is good for retaining moisture to keep the humidity levels up, which is vital for the long term health of the Brazilian Rainbow Boa in your care.
Hiding places should be provided to give the snake security(one at each end of the enclosure will suffice). These can be made from hollow logs, pieces of bark, plastic piping or specially made hides can be bought.
Thick climbing branches must be provided for this semi-arboreal species.
A large water bowl should be provided, large enough for the Boa to soak in. This can be placed close to the warmest part of the enclosure to help maintain the humidity needed for this snake.
Temperature of 30 - 34 degrees centigrade

Irian Jayas can grow up to 7 ft, but generally only grow to around 5 ft, with females usually being longer/larger than the males. There heads are almost arrow shaped and their entire bodies are covered with a lovely pattern of pale beige and very dark brown/grey/ almost black. They can have a beautiful irridescent sheen.
As hatchlings they may initially be snappy, but with regular, gentle handling, most specimens become very calm and tolerant of handling.
they are arboreal so Aim for a minimum vivarium size of 3ft long, 2ft deep and 2ft high

Calm! all the carpet pythons i have met have been really dodgy and unpredictable |
Brazillians may get over 6 - not that many do and they are very placid.
Coastal carpets have a rep for aggression - jungles to a slighlty lesser extent. My IJ's are sofer that corns and always have been - they tend ot be much less agressive than the other carpets. |
