i have been keeping an eye on my corn Millie as she was due to shed. this morning i was walking past the vivs and seen her out of her hide and moving about rubbing her nose so i grabbed a seat and settled down to watch. sure enough the skin started coming of her head and she carried on to give me a complete shed. what a show, i have seen them from half way through but this is the first i have seen from the very start. _________________

when i got my first royal she had a couple of bad sheds, the second shed left the skin on her head so i soaked it in a damp piece of kitchen roll then tried to remove the skin from back to front and bingo got it off in one. she has had no problems since. _________________

My son who is 9 years old, hold our boa's whilst they are shedding, they dig hard into any hard surface, which breaks the skin from the mouth once past the eyes he gets the male or female out and they slither through his hands, he holds the folded back bit of shedding and it carries on until fully removed in one piece, which being a 9 year old boy, keeps all the skins and hangs them up or takes to school to show his mates, also my Californian king snake, the one that eats him self, my son also held that on whilst it was shedding, and wow, don't they look great after a shedding so shiny, maybe he shouldn't hold whilst they are shedding, but he doesn't pull the skin at all the snake has to do it for them selves so far all have shed very well |

i must admit i was tempted but her being a bit on the shy type didn't want to stress her and maybe put her off. if i caught Monty in the same position i would try as he has no fear of me. _________________
