This is one I found in central Portugal last year. It was pretty impossible to photograph without being held. It was of course released afterwards. One of our four dogs (Tilly) in the background !

They are even prettier in the flesh. We have five species of snake on the farm in Portugal. I will post more pics later !

We have a very seriously crazy ( and dangerous !) dog that makes having any friends over very difficult !!
