Well, it was a trip to drink, eat and party, and possibly get a tan, but for the entire time we were there (except the last few hours on Sunday), it rained solidly the whole time.
Took a trip up the moutains to Montseny National Park. Found these beauties in typical beech forest at 200m asl and pretty damn cold. (The hail wasn't thawing very quickly)
And the sun had been out for 20mins when I found this little one.
Prize for guessing the species!! :0) 1500m asl
Sorry for the rushed look of the pics, but I was with 3 non-herpy people and didn't have the heart to make them spend 30 minutes in the rain, while I took pics
Hope you like

You done well to see any herps, all I saw when I was in Barcelona was two tramps 'pleasuring' each other
Oh yeah, and a street barrow pet shop with loads of totally unsuitable reptiles being sold off a market stall that just got closed up each night and left where it was, no heat etc _________________

You did well finding some herps then!
I`m with Morbid on the snake ID. It`s very similar to our smooth snake.
