I had been keeping my eye on a velvet gecko in my local petshop for a while now and yesterday i went up there for my livefood and asked to see him. The idea was that I wasnt going to get him until i payed off my debts that my frilled dragon tank and decor rung up. I saw him and thought "ffs" hes a bit skinney and the muscle on hes head is sunken in. I had been looking at him for a while no and he looked great at first but hes gone downhill. Hes was being kept in a cadbury box that you keep hatchling snakes in for over 6months with just a bowl and a bit of corkbark. Poor thing was stressed out is my quess.

The guy had a look at him and we had arranged a price of £50 a couple of weeks ago but yesterday he sed i can have him.

Ive tried to nurse leopard geckos back from emaciation (stock from a certain pound lane petshop in essex)but had now luck with them.

Ive given him a bowl with 2 waxworms in it last night to see if he wanted them but he hasnt touched them. Tonight im gunna put 2-3 crickets in with him and see if hes gunna take them. He had toilet in the shop yesterday and that wasnt too bad so i know hes been eating. But i can see hes back bone and hes back legs have no muscle. Ive got avipro in hes water and i may wait till tomorrow cus i dont wanna pull him about and give him some hydrolife. Hes still quite alert and walks around a fair bit.

Kelly
