My first fat tail hatchling, which is looking very amel and hopefully female Will take a picture when I move him/her later.
Now a a couple of questions - hope your about Jas
How long should I leave the hatchlings in the incubator tub before moving them to the cadbury boxes?
The other partner egg from this pair hasn't hatched yet, should I put a tiny hole into it or leave it a bit longer? I don't want to risk the little one having problems hatching and I would assume that it can't be far off being ready to come out, but am not sure how long to leave it. _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

I'd be reluctant to put a hole in the egg - just in case. The longest I've had a pair of leopard gecko eggs hatch (laid at the same time) is 10 days. They were both fine! _________________ European Protected Species Licensing - Do you know enough?

Ah! great work Claire
Yep like Ally says leave the other egg to hatch on its own, with my hatchlings i normally just take them out of the egg boxes as soon as i get home from work. Get some pics up of the baby. _________________ www.Reptilebreeder.co.uk

Hi Jas and Ally, thanks for the response, was just worried about any hatching difficulties, but logic dictates that this one made it out ok so it's partner egg should manage ok, the empty shell I've just removed from the baby that has hatched seems just right from a calcium standpoint, so the other should be ok. I found the little one at 2am this morning as I was going to bed, got the surprise of my life!! Have now move it into it's own cadbury tub with a hide and a tiny puddle of water
Now introducing, Number 1#

Thanks Paul, yes this is the first baby for the amel pair, I'll try and find a piccy of mum and dad and put up for comparison.
No leos yet, next in line are the partner egg of this little one, followed by beardies, then I think more fat tails and then some leos, and then from there it all kind of blurs _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

I most certainly am I've incubated everything I've got in the bators at this point for female (hopefully) so potentially there could be a couple of armies, next I'm going to go to mid range and try and get a combination of both males and females.
I was looking on the urbangecko site last night at their fat tails again, and I have 2 that look a lot like their het patternless, my luck probably isn't that good but it would be a very happy miracle I know nothing about the history of the two I'm talking about so have no clue. Will try and get a couple of decent piccies, they are all gaining weight nicely now as well thank god! _________________ www.draco2.co.uk
