Yes the set up is exactly the same as you do with other lizards in general. I don't use mercury vapour bulbs purely because I have way too many different kind of lizards and would be extremely expensive for me to replace them every 6 months. I use Repti Glo 10.0 UVB tube, that's what I was told. The distance is about 12 inches off the floor. I set the timer to have basking and UVB on at 9am and off at 5pm, but as said, by lunch time, mine usually just bury into the sand already. So not too sure if they really need the UVB for such a long time but I just left the lights on for a bit longer but shorter time than my other lizards. From 5pm, it's only the heatmat to keep them warm throughout the night. As mine are kept in the reptile room, that room is pretty like a sauna during the warmer seasons, so I turn everything off if the weather is getting too hot.
