Managed to get some feeding pics last night... as i was turning off the uv i saw one going for one...grabbed my rubbish camera and took pics through the glass so apologies for the quality. You can see another one poking its head in in a couple of thepics too

is the last one an egg eater?

yes, unfortunately that one is a non feeder at present and is tube fed quail, i have others though, depending on size/sex they can eat anything up to small chicken eggs. _________________

cool, i wanted to get myself a pair of these (i quite like African snakes)
but as i don't have quail eggs or chicken eggs available for them to eat all the time, it would be a challenge...
although they do only gorge for like 2 months a year in the wild as birds don't breed all year... _________________ Reptiles by Erik Paterson

erm they do tend to go off food at certain times of the year i believe based on egg availability in teh wild, but i wouldnt say they only eat for 2mths. I used to have a female who would eat loads at any time of the yr lol.
japanese quail eggs can fome from tesco, chinese quail from ebay, small hen from tesco.... the only thing that is difficult is smaller eggs like budgie eggs but im lucky enough to be able to source them easily  _________________

Thanks jay-man im well chuffed with them coz its a bit hit and miss with rough greens  _________________
