Quote: | I couldn't really comment on that Pete as I have not had the chance to see everyone elses collections and offspring but I am 100% sure some lines of pastel are better than others...yes for sure any good breeder will try to bring the colour out by mating to certain females but starting with the brightest pastels available will certainly make that job easier. |
Yeah, some pastel lines are better than others, but within those pastel lines I don't think anyone can say they produce the best Graziani pastels for example.I'd agree that keeping the best looking snakes gives you the best chance to produce your best results. _________________ www.unusualalbinosnakes.com |

Quote: | I sometimes ask the question, If I knew then, what I know now about the morphs and prices etc...would I of still spent the money I did? without doubt the answer is yes, I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment, the excitement of getting that new morph, growing it and planning what to breed it to. Do I think now's a good time to get into morph royals? Yes without doubt it's a far far better time than when I did, my money would of gone way further now but I'm sure I would still of ended up spending a similar amount but obviously would of saved myself 4 years + of breeding my own double morphs and instead I could of had the fun of starting my first breedings aiming for treble gene morphs |
That's a good way to think about it Scott. _________________ www.unusualalbinosnakes.com |

Hello Jamie
I'd agree that producing a snake for your own the first time is great indeed, producing any snakes is really good, would first to produce a morph be better ? maybe not the first, first in the UK ? would that be more exciting ? how would that feel ? what would it feel like to breed two normals together and produce a totally new morph ? it could happen, it happens sometimes in our hopes and dreams.
Think your right about the royals, they are a pleasure, I think I'll always have them. _________________ www.unusualalbinosnakes.com |
