I know that SOMEWHERE on the Forum are the details that I am looking for, but having searched for a while I am going to be lazy and ask Rolling Eyes

Have read lots of web pages about breeding Royals, but please will someone give me the sequence of events from breeding to egg laying again Question

I ask because my one up-to-size female for this year shed early Nov when put in with the male, at a friends place. The friend only opened the tub every four/five days to remove the male for a rest, offer food ( refused ) and change water. No locks were seen, but could have been missed... I hope...

She started to eat a bit about six weeks ago, but has stopped again and is in blue. She is 1650 grams. Has been up at the cool end of the tub quite a lot. Just seems a quick shed as she has not been eating.

Does it go like this ?

Lock, shed, glow, ovulation, getting fatter, shed then lay ?

You pretty much have it right, I'd add nesting before laying.
