Slugs are infertile eggs (not live eggs)

Yes that is right. There are two sorts of infertile eggs. A 'slug' is smaller than a normal egg and misshapen. It is also yellow rather than a nice white. The other sort looks to be fine, but is in fact not fertile and so goes bad within a week or so, very disappointing as they had looked to be OK
