Sorry guys yeah I understand I am just blind with worry right now. PM'd the vet and I bloody hope that the herp vet is on call tomorrow at the surgery.
She still seems frisky enough at the moment so I guess thats a good sign Confused
Thanks for the help!

I reckon any gurggling may have either been water from drinking or you may have an RI coming along if the temps weren't as they should be and i reckon it's more likely the black gunk may've been a manky runny poo which i've seen a few times, presumably from a not to brilliant rat but vets is definitely the way to go and hopefully they can sort it all out for you. Do take a sample with you if you can, just dampen whtever it's on and tub it then put it in the fridge - gross i know but it could give the vet the answer to the problem.

My vet suggested a suspected virus and to keep the temps at the high end. Without a sample he cannot be sure what the discharge was but it hasn't occurred again. She hasn't seemed unwell so for the time being we'll see how she is. Thanks for the help!
