One of my all time favorite monitors. Absolutely stunning, in my opinion anyway Smile
This guy's CB06 and about 25" so still got a lot of growing to do. He's very very alert and always keeps an eye on what you're doing. Not aggressive but has claws like a raptor so him just walking up your arm still scratches nicely.

Without measuring I would estimate about 45cms and his body is about 20cms. So about two thirds the total length of him. It is prehensile and he uses it to climb/hang off. When you hold him he always curls it around you too.
V.melinus is not fully arboreal like V.prasinus, V.beccari and V.reisingeri but is certainly well adapted to a life in the trees. To make things confusing V.reisingeri's common name is also Yellow Tree Monitor.

Stunning! I saw someone offer quite a few CB in Hamm, the september show. Not that expensive either. I was really tempted, but a lack of space made me decide against it Laughing
