I have a good relation ship with my vet, though truth is reptiles take awhile to recover or even show signs and often than none means several tests, which all add up, I respect my vets opinion and stance, dose a very thorough job an has a lively hood to make , has my animals well fair as fore most in the equation, but this dose all add up.

I have six dachshund's and eight parrots, an to be honest they have had a few trips to the vet, mostly for routine check ups an shots.

Though, the few times a my reps an amphibians have gone for treatment the cost has out weighed that of the dogs an birds very apparently.

Though I could never say ones more in need than the other, an in the real world the cost is hard to swallow, that's my responsibility.

Wouldn't wanna say how much my one spotted python is worth££££
Cause i dona wanna look at it that way, I got a fare amount of snakes which I have worked fairly to gain and love them all.

Though as one says,is it worth insuring? I think it probably is! I have not taken this route!? as, perhaps I'm over confident that my husbandry is correct.

the thing to take into account is if you working with big boids(which at the mo I'm not cause most of my collection is under two years old) they require bigger doses of drugs and on a weight to measurement size. I'd rather be paying X amount for insurance, than XXX amount for medication when a hefty python needs drugs?

Who dose offer cover here in the UK?

Very interesting topic
