right i want to put a ceramic heater in one of my vivs and use a gaurd to protect the snakes but dont know where i can or should earth the bulb and ideas?? _________________ just a couple of reptiles! to keep me out of trouble! |

Can you not just wrap the earth wire around the screw before you screw the guard to the ceiling of the viv. |

is it a guard to protect, say a snake coming into contact with the ceramic. or a guard to deflect heat down.
If the latter, it will need to be earthed and will have a earthing point on it, in the form of a nut and bolt. |

then if it is to be screwed into wood and not touch th eceramic bulb or holder, then dont worry about earthing it. |

The ceramic heater cannot be earthed due to it's nature but anything round it made of metal can be earthed. _________________ John
