Couple of shots of some leafcutters - acromyrmex octospinosus. They're fun to photograph! Both taken with a 50mm f/1.8 and 68mm of extension tubes, the second one is stacked.
If it gives you a better idea of size, the second one is sitting on bubble wrap!

Thanks Fraser - I think they're the smallest things I've managed to get decent photos of so far.

I love these little guys They've settled nicely and the colony is ticking along well. Hopefully they'll move into a bigger house soon so they can grow their colony size.
