well i have never had any trouble with working it my way. and when i see they are going to shed they get the humidity upped then. i never really get any bad sheds. and no ri's either. i didnt say they got no humidity, i just dont moniter as maybe other people do unless they are shedding. and mine are all quite happy.
higgy its easy to see when your royal is heading for a shed, the belly goes a weird colour, so just watch for that. _________________

It was IMO only from what I have picked up through looking on different forums. We all have our ways. It's just an additional precaution I prefer to take for peace of mind. _________________ "When i'm a big boy I wanna avatar like Johonny. lmao and rofl" |

the humidity in the in each of the royals tubs is sitting at around 52. i believe it can be anything between 30-60. all am saying is i dont worry about it as much as others. as long as it doesnt go below 30 or above 60 then am happy. and its only at 60 when they are shedding and need extra. i dont check it that often, not as often as the heating which is checked everytime i go upstairs. _________________

i can see what you both are staying, but i must say all i do is spray the tubs when i know my royals are in shed and have no problems.
You will find most houses have humidty levels of roung 40-60% which is fine for royals.
unless you live in the tropics |

Oh totally agree with the household humidity thing. My snake is in the spare room right next door to the bathroom and obviously the humidity from the shower helps a lot.
I'm not having a go at anyone or telling what they should or shouldn't do, because each to their own. All i'm saying is, if you are having problems with shedding (well the snake. Not you personally) then it may be worth considering getting a digital hygrometer, to make sure the levels are good. I do it and it works for me. Never had a problem. Lynne never has a problem and she never uses one.
Like I said, each to their own. Just trying to offer help to the person with the shed problem. That's all.....nothing else.....not preaching.....not having a go......i'll shut up...i'll wind my neck in...I know when i'm not wanted...it's okay.....lol _________________ "When i'm a big boy I wanna avatar like Johonny. lmao and rofl" |
