|

.... As the subject says. I have just acquired afew pieces of really good foam (completely clean) and would like to use it, if I can for my Crestie or Gargoyle for abit of extra wall climbing or hide-outs etc.
Now I need/would like to know if there is such thing as gecko-friendly paint because grey foam will make them look like geckos from an inner city and I dont really want that. Would normal (spray?) paint be ok or is it toxic?

Hi, I'm planning on using Plasti-Cote spray paint for all my decorations for all my collection, if you get the one suitable for kids toys etc it should be fine, I've actually got a textured one for my leos and beardies enclosures. You'll need to coat it with lots of thin layers of Ronseal Quick Drying Floor Varnish, as this one is water based so less chance of fumes etc, and will also be washable after the event. I would recommend leaving it for about a weekor so though until you are confident that there is no sign of any smell at all
I'm going to use this method in my beardies viv for the walls etc, but I will have to be even more careful in that instance as the heat from the Mercury Vapour bulb is unbelievable, so I will have to run the bulb for a week or so without them in just to make sure there are no fumes etc.
Grout is also very good, but make sure to get the one WITHOUT the fungicide in it, and you can get this pre-coloured as well
Hope that helps.
