Jase! Haha I said 'at a push' and also with the right setup. But honestly I have no experience of that in my tank I am adding one more female each time (I now only have a 1.1) and there is loads of space in my 45x45x60. So when I add another female if there still looks like enough space for another then I will get one. But if it looks crowded etc then I wouldn't, or I would up the tank size.
Happy? |

Quote: | Tom that's bad advice, you can't add width to make up for no height with cresties. Being high = feeling safe. That's like saying adding height to a leo viv makes up for having a lack of length/width. |
no i was just saying that if 18x18x18 is the mnaximum height he could go, i know it is not ideal but length could be added to create more space. cresties move left and right as well as up lol, but i see what you are saying.
i would say 18 x 18 x 18 for only one actually, changed my mind lol or get 2 keep adults seperate and only introduce for breeding _________________ Tom

I agree with Phil.
I think that 18" is too small.
Even for a lone adult. . . . even if they are on their own they still need the space to jump about.
You are betting getting a bigger tank and having say 3 than a small tank with 2.
Hard to explain! lol
But 2 need the same amount as 1 crestie but not a 18x18x18!
And Width does not make up for height.
They are live in the trees.
Putting in a load of cover wont solve the problem, yes they wont see each
other as it creates visual barriers but they need room to roam etc. . . . _________________ Regards, Paul.

to be honest i don't think that is enough height but id you where to put lots of things to climb on and had lots of coverage i don't think it would be that bad _________________ Regards,

thanks folks
I have ended up with one exo 18inches high and a 3 foot tank split in two,(see my other recent post) so will be a ble to keep the cresteds seperate one to a tank. and have a spare space to boot.
