The panther above is 100% ambanja and I know that because I hatched him out about 4 years ago.
There are loads of locales apparently. The ones I stick with are Ambanja -Ambilobe - Sambava - Ankaramy - Nosy be - Tamatave - Diego saurez - and I now have mitsio.
There are other rare locales but to be honest I would not touch them. These apparently rare locales usually go through 3 or 4 sellers before finally reaching their final destination. And with such diverse colours within each locale that £500 rare locale could just be a glorified Ambilobe. |

I never realised there were so many, being a wally I just assumed that a Panther Chameleon was just that, never even occured to me that there would be different locals, but in hind sight it should have as there are with other species, like the Rhacs for instance.
Wow Stuart, that is amazing. No matter what colour they are you can't help but admire a Chameleon _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Yes, unfortunately its not mine. That link is from an American website. As far as I'm aware that locality isn't available in the UK (yet).
Panthers are great. I only have one pair at the moment (sub adult Maroansetra's) but I'll definitely be picking up another pair or three in the not too distant future. |

no offense but that looks nothing like an Ambanja, i have a nose be that has the same head coloration and the body is just like a blue bar ambilobe, you sure the female was Ambanja? regardless though he is a lovely looking cham. Just not like any ambanja i have seen lol. |
