Hey folks, i thought I'd post up some photos of my Water Dragons as I'm here and quite bored to be honest
(yes, i have to be bored to post photos of them )
so yea, here's Draco-Smaug the male
And Chaz, the female
Hope you like, had 10 eggs from chaz this year, she laid the first clutch in the water dish and they failed, the next 5 all hatched so i was pretty happy with those
hope you like
and I've been told Draco has a bit of "sapphire" in him, which i like the sound of, but he just doesn't look blue enough to be a sapphire if you ask me... i love him anyways lol

They are both beautiful!
Did she only lay two clutches? How old is she? How old is your male?
Too bad she laid the first clutch in the water. I've often thought that they did that if the eggs were infertile. Have you ever heard that? |

thanks callmechook, they have both got a wee bit of mouth rot, but i have like 500ml of betadine in the fridge so if it flares up then it can be treated quickly and easily.

Your male is absolutely gorgeous! I hope my babies grow up to be that beautiful, well done!
BTW...interesting about the 'infertile eggs in the water bath' comment, I can see why that maybe true...I had a female WD this year lay some eggs in the water bowl, obviously all infertile, but then she had some more (same batch as no male in viv since before xmas) and buried them properly and (so far) they are all growing nicely in the incubator and look fine.... |

Laughing_lizard_lady: thanks.
i was a little bummed out by her laying them in the water bowl, but i had another female who laid 4 around the same time, 2 of which hatched, so not all bad!
i have had a clutch of 6 3 weeks ago and i forgot to let y'all know, 3 of which have failed and 3 of which are looking alright one better than the other 2 however when candled i see no veins, but as its the first clutch of the season i wasn't hoping for too much.
lynne: thank you very much
