I came home today at lunch time to find my ackie looking a bit uncomfortable, with his hind legs slightly raised. I lifted him out onto the floor gently to see if he could stand ok and he did and then he raised his hind legs as he does when hes about to excrete but all that came out were urates (which is all I've found for the last few days). After that he didn't put his legs down and everted both hemipenes for a second and then dragged his rear along the floor and then everted again.

It seems like he is very uncomfortable, do you think he may be constipated?? He has become constipated before with his previous owners on morio worms. He seems to be straining to push.

Hes in a warm bath right now but he really dislikes water so hes just swimming round trying to get out Crying or Very sad

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I have never seen him do this before and am very worried.

You could let out enough water so he can just stand in the water and maybe rub his belly a little with him in the water (it may calm him and help him relax).
What substrate is he on and could he have injested some?

The water was only 2" deep so he could stand. I massaged his belly but no poo. He does seem brighter now but hes still not right.

Hes on eco-earth. I watch him while he eats and I havn't noticed him eating it, but a bit has gone in with crix etc, but not enough to cause me to worry about it, although I obviously am now Crying or Very sad

I really don't know what else to suggest, if he isn't any better by Monday, I'd pop him down to a reptile vet for them to look at.
Is he still eating okay?

He has since done a Huuuuuge poo Very Happy

and seems 100% better. Has still everted a few times since tho, don't really kno what thats about...

My Bosc everts his every now and again, it is possible he's got a few particles of the substrate caught up in there (everting it over the substrate), just give him regular warm baths and keep an eye on him.
Glad he finally did his poo, my Bosc is generally quite regular, but every now and then doesn't go for a day or two, then waits until I clean his water bowl and does a huge dump in there. Cleaning Bosc poo from a water bowl isn't pleasant - thankfully I am full of cold at the moment so can't smell anything at all!!!

Cheers mate, I will keep bathing him, he is gettin a bit calmer in the water so it should get easier. Hes much much happier and hasn't everted today while I've been around, he has however pooed on me Laughing
