She's wonderful, hence I don't go out in my garden now unless under cover of darkness
It might be worth us thinking about a generator then if they are quieter now, I remeber them as being deafning smelly things, and then there's the generators _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Thanks for the input all
One thing about Generators, I rang up Habistat to find out if it would affect stats. Apparently, the pulsing current from the Gen can damage the fine workings in the dimmer stats. Not sure if this applies to pule / temp stats, but I would guess its the same because of the very fine internal workings.
Any ideas?
Cheers

If it's just for a few hours you could look at a 300W DC 12 V to AC 240 V Power Invertor, with a car battery. I use one to run 2 latops in my van.
Think you can get one's with higher watts (might run a few heat mats etc, if you were really stuck!) |

you wouldnt have the stats plugged straight into the generator though. dunno if that makes a differance. just as the genny wouldnt be in the actual room with the snakes. _________________
